    As Co-founder and Chairman of the Board at HauteLook, I retained Stuart Richman, in 2009, in order to make the company scalable and compliant to enable rapid growth. Stuart quickly stabilized HauteLook’s eCommerce solution and overall infrastructure and built a scalable foundation. Stuart delivered several technical solutions, including various eCommerce enhancements, creation of a vendor portal, implementation of an ERP system, and creation a data warehouse. The data warehouse was key to providing valuable business intelligence to drive marketing and sales efforts. Nordstrom acquired HauteLook in March 2011 for $270 million. Stuart was the executive leader representing HauteLook specific to Nordstrom’s technical assessment, in order to help facilitate the acquisition.

    Stuart also was on the leadership team in creating Sole Society’s initial eCommerce solution. After the Nordstrom acquisition Sole Society spun off from HauteLook and I am currently their CEO.

    As Chief Operating Officer at Dell Financial Services, I retained Stuart Richman as an IT Executive to oversee a $12 million Reverse Logistics systems project. Stuart was key in architecting and delivering an Advanced Planning, MRP, and Financial system to handle all end of lease returns of Dell 51,000 units per month. The project improved our visibility of returns in order to manage staff more efficiently, improved management and timeliness of processing returns, and increased revenues by automating missing parts billings.

    As the Chief Operation Officer of Remote Ocean Systems, I retained Stuart to perform and IT Assessment, in order to stabilize our technical environment and define an IT roadmap for our infrastructure, applications, and IT organization. Stuart is my primary trusted advisor for our technical and business application needs.

    Stuart was a key member of my team when I served as VP and Senior Customer Relationship Manager at Warner Bros. At that time, the Business/IT relationships were strained due to unrealized improvements to key operational systems in several Divisions. Stuart turned around the situation in the International Television Division by taking the time to understand and quickly interpret the business needs into achievable and reliable solutions. In less than a year, Stuart and his team delivered over 100 stable, bug-free, significant enhancements to the International Television Rights & Distribution systems and also implemented an International Revenue Budgeting System. He applied best practice project management techniques including a rigorous approach to User Acceptance Testing and successfully engaged the business in sharing accountability in the roll out and delivery of these business critical solutions.
